Chrysler is recalling certain model-year 2019-2020 Ram 2500 and 3500 pickup trucks and some 3500, 4500, and 5500 chassis cabs due to a windshield wiper issue. The windshield wiper arms may loosen, possibly causing a malfunction that can reduce the driver’s visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on March 18, 2022. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 800-853-1403 or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle safety hotline at 888-327-4236 to learn more.

To resolve the issue, dealers will tighten the windshield wiper nuts.

Vehicle manufacturers are legally required to repair any recalled issues or replace the defective part for free under the Highway Safety Act of 1970. If the dealership refuses to fix the problem or attempts to charge you for the repair, contact the manufacturer immediately.
