Nissan is recalling approximately 689,000 model-year 2014-2016 Rogue SUVs due to a faulty electrical connector. The poorly insulated connector located in the driver’s footwell, could corrode if exposed to water and/or road salt and heat up, increasing the risk of a fire. Corrosion in the electrical connector can also result in power window/seat failure, all-wheel-drive warning light illumination, and battery drainage.

Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on March 2, 2022. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 800-867-7669 or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle safety hotline at 888-327-4236 to learn more.

The remedy is currently under development. A second notice will be mailed once the remedy becomes available.
