Ford is recalling 86,050 model-year 2022-2023 Bronco Sport and 2022 F-150 vehicles due to a parking light issue. The parking lights may flicker when the headlights are activated. The automaker determined the lighting problem coincided with an LED driver module part change from version 4.1L to version 4.2. Flickering parking lights can reduce visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on October 31, 2022. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 866-436-7332 or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle safety hotline at 888-327-4236 to learn more.

To resolve the issue, dealers will replace or reprogram the LED driver module.

Vehicle manufacturers are legally required to repair any recalled issues or replace the defective part for free under the Highway Safety Act of 1970. If the dealership refuses to fix the problem or attempts to charge you for the repair, contact the manufacturer immediately.
