Nissan is recalling approximately 24,793 model-year 2021 Rogue vehicles due to a fuel pump issue. Abnormal wear inside the fuel pump may cause it to overheat and fail, possibly resulting in an engine stall, increasing the risk of a crash.
Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on January 26, 2022. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 800-867-7669 or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle safety hotline at 888-327-4236 to learn more.
To resolve the issue, dealers will replace the fuel pump assembly.
Vehicle manufacturers are legally required to repair any recalled issues or replace the defective part for free under the Highway Safety Act of 1970. If the dealership refuses to fix the problem or attempts to charge you for the repair, contact the manufacturer immediately.
