Approximately 2,200 model-year 2020 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque SUVs are being recalled due to issues with the windshield washer system. The fuse for the front and rear windshield washer system may fail, reducing driver visibility and increasing the risk of a crash.

Land Rover will begin notifying owners on Aug 2. Owners can call the automaker at 800-637-6837 or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 to learn more.

To fix the problem, dealers will replace the fuse for the front and rear washer systems. Also, the engine junction box lid will be replaced and an owner’s manual insert will be added with the updated fuse rating information.

Vehicle manufacturers are legally required to repair any recalled issues or replace the defective part for free under the Highway Safety Act of 1970. If the dealership refuses to fix the problem or attempts to charge you for the repair, contact the manufacturer immediately.
