Ford is recalling approximately 79,000 model-year 2020-21 F-150 light-duty pickups and Super Duty heavy-duty pickups due to windshield issues.  The front windshields are inadequately bonded to the truck’s body structure. In the event of a crash, the windshield may not stay in place, increasing the risk of injury.

Ford began notifying owners the week of April 6. Owners can call the automaker at 866-436-7332 or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 to learn more.

To fix the problem, dealers will remove and reinstall the windshield using standard service procedures.

Vehicle manufacturers are legally required to repair any recalled issues or replace the defective part for free under the Highway Safety Act of 1970. If the dealership refuses to fix the problem or attempts to charge you for the repair, contact the manufacturer immediately.
