Approximately 430 model-year 2019 Maserati Levante SUVs equipped with full LED headlights with the adaptive front light system are being recalled due to headlight issues. The headlights may be misadjusted above the maximum height allowed, which could impair the visibility of oncoming traffic, increasing the risk of a crash.

Maserati will begin notifying owners on Aug 26. Owners can call the automaker at 877-696-2737 or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 to learn more.

To fix the problem, dealers will adjust the headlights.

Vehicle manufacturers are legally required to repair any recalled issues or replace the defective part for free under the Highway Safety Act of 1970. If the dealership refuses to fix the problem or attempts to charge you for the repair, contact the manufacturer immediately.
