Kia is recalling all model-year 2014-2016 Cadenza vehicles. The front windshield may not have been properly bonded to the vehicle during manufacturing and may become loose or detach, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.

Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on May 13, 2022. Owners may contact Kia customer service at 800-333-4542 or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle safety hotline at 888-327-4236 to learn more.

To resolve the issue, dealers will inspect the front windshield glass and if necessary, remove and reattach the windshield properly.

Vehicle manufacturers are legally required to repair any recalled issues or replace the defective part for free under the Highway Safety Act of 1970. If the dealership refuses to fix the problem or attempts to charge you for the repair, contact the manufacturer immediately.
